Great beer selection. My husband gave the bartender our criteria...IPA, hazy, citrus, west coast, but keep in mind that it is $7.50 for a 14 oz pour. Average beer in the US is a 16 oz pour. We sat on the street, no bowls for the dogs, but they gave us huge plastic glasses. We found a somewhat shady spot. They do have a great happy hour, so come for that!

A solid spot to meet up with friends in the Fells Point area. There's lots of seats and TV's perfect for watching a game. I had an orange crush during my most recent visit and the prices were great (compared to DC lol) and the bartender was friendly. I personally didn't have any food but everyone around me looked like they were enjoying. They offer typical bar food, no frills but solid food. Highly recommend, just sometimes parking can be tricky in this area.

Such an amazing beer selection!!! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and it was a fun upbeat environment even on a week day. If you enjoy craft beer, this is your place. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Baltimore.

Stopped in for a quick beer with a friend. The bartender was very nice and lots of beer options and local beer. We didn't eat since we were just having a pre dinner drink. Nice spot near the boats and water. I'm sure in the summer time it's very busy here and a great spot.

Omg this place is a 10/10 for 10 reasons. 1. Vibe: Chill, relax, perfectly Ambient music that will make you relive that era of punk rock, sugar we're going down swinging vibes. 2. Setup: wide array of seatings. Bar stools, short table, high table, community seating, in the cut seating for the not so social crowd. 3. Burger: makes you feel like your at a grill masters home bbq. It feel like how in N out and five guys should taste. Loved it! Juicy and fresh ingredients 4. Fries: Very crispy on the outside pillow soft on the inside with a kiss of salt on ever bite 5. WINGS: wow, the flipping SMOKED wings! It's like biting into a crisp apple. Hear me out. The outside is not fired but has a crispy snap! Similar to that of an apple. The inside is juicy and succulent just like a delicious apple! I know weird comparison but it's really a one of a kind. The mustard flavor is a MUST TRY! 6. The beer: Mind blowing selection! Beer Number 5 really was like nothing I've ever tasted before. 7. Samples: I tased 4 other beers for free prior to number 5 all of which I would been thrilled to have. 8. Flights: just get a flight no wrong beer choices 9. Bartender: ask for Jamie at the bar! Culture, attentive, knowledgeable, caring, funny, helpful, and truly just a delight. Come for the 1-8 stay for number 9 Jamie! 10. Plot twist: there's a solid karaoke bar upstairs

Went for the comedy show. It was a full house! I've never had pit beef before and surprisingly, the sandwich was pretty tasty! The chips were amazing and the cornbread was even better. We were able to order from the upstairs bar and the service was quick and friendly.

If your looking for a true beer experience in Baltimore, Max's Taphouse is your place. The tap and bottle list are extensive and they are one of the few places post-pandemic that has hardcore beer events/tap takeovers. Parking wasn't the easiest to find, but I ended up in a nearby parking garage. The inside is a little dark, but roomy with lots of seating options. There were plenty of TV's spread out and the O's were playing an afternoon game. I didn't have too much trouble sorting through their tap list since most of the list had sour ale's from a recent event. The Black Flag Flagship IPA from nearby Columbia, MD was a nice simple IPA, but the winner was the New Trail - Barrel Aged Moonlit (aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels). I could go on and on with my description and score, but that was one hell of a beer! My wife stuck to Delirium Tremens since they had it on tap. You don't see on tap very often and it's such a delicious Belgian Ale. Their bottle list is long, organized and also extensive. It includes quite a few rarities and aged beers. Food wise I had the Beer Chili which was decent. Just simple chili, nothing special. The Wings were Max's BBQ flavored and decent. They were meaty and lightly fried, the menu says they are slow-smoked, but I didn't detect much. My son had the Pit turkey and really liked it. I had some and definitely found the smoke flavor I was looking for. My wife ordered the Classic Burger and had no complaints. I noticed a tour going down and around the building and asked the manager if we were allowed to take a look around. He was more than happy to say yes and took us himself. The tap system in the basement is organized, and quite a set up. I've been in some of the most well known beer bars in Philly and I can say for certain this would rank right up there with the best. I've read about Max's as one of the better beer bars in the world and it did not disappoint. 108 beers on draft, 4 hand pumps and over 1000 bottles and cans = must visit. Their bourbon list is pretty ridiculous too! Thank you to Jason and the gang, you treated me and my family like your own family.

A great amount of beer on hand for sure from the draft selection to the bottles and cans offered, the food was also excellent although limited. I had the Backyard burger and it was very tasty and my buddy had the fish sandwich which he is also thought was done well. Be aware though, there is no table service at least it wasn't when we were there earlier today. So, you have to order at the bar which didn't turn out too bad as we were able to get some seats there which got rid of us having to do any back and forth. Service was good for the most part, although at times slower than preferred as they seemed to not really have the bar staffed as best as they could have. And finally, the location has a nice setup about it although it does get loud, but that kind of should be expected. Parking can be a little difficult at times so make sure you leave ample time to find a spot.
